open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

my operation system is win7 64 bit, the installed telemac platform is : vs2010 , visual fortrant intel composer xe 2011 and using perl and mpich2.
I installed succefully telemac system v6p1 with this configuration and run my cases without any problem in parallel or scalar modes.
while for installing telemac v6p2 alot of warnings have been generated but with no errors as attached in makeall90.txt and makepar90.txt.
when i try a tomawac cas that worked perfectly under v6p1 on the new v6p2, an error appear always when reading the geometry file in parallel mode. also the same error apprear for any other case in telemac2d after reading the geometery file please see attached error.
please see the warnings in the attached setup results.
note: i installed again v6p1 under the same configuration with no errors!!

It seems the problem is not really in telemac or tomawac but more in partel, the partionionner program for parallelism.
In the 6.2 version, it seems to me that partel (which require metis library) use now the metis5 library (the previous version use the version 4 of metis).
Did you compile the metis library or use a copy od the previous delivered version?

I have used a copy of the meits32.lib version 4 which exist on the forum download.
could you please upload the compiled meits 5 if it is required for goood install.

I didn't compile the metis5 library yet...
But you could download the sources on the web (see link in the download section) and create this library.
I jeut read that V6P2 of telemac works also with metis4 library so maybe it's not the solution;
Nevertheless, you should investigate the problem in the partitionning step and it seems it's a memory problem...

You could try to run partel alone (only the geometry file and the boundary condition file are required). Just copy the partel.exe file in your working directory and try to execute it.

Actually the version 6.2 only works with Metis version 5, because the call to Metis has been changed between version 4 and version 5.

I would like to submit my problem.
I have installed the new version v6p2 on my PC : Wind XP, proc intel duo core2, mpich2 1.4.1, python 2.7.
I have installed both wintel32 and wintel32mpi from the downloaded page and I have downloaded the metis library 5 too.
Then, I tried a model which runs well on v6p1 both in scalar and parallel modes.
With the v6p2 version, it doesn't work, nor scalar, nor parallel.
I've attached the error messages, my systel file and the partel.log file for the parallel try. It seems that the problem comes from mpi?
As I've installed wintel32 too, I've erased wintelmpi in my systel file (at the line "configs:"). In this case, it works!?
