I am trying to run the Telemac tutorials for the first time. I have installed the following VS evaluation version and fortran compiler:

Visual Studio 2008 Pro trial software;
Visual Studio 2008 SP1 software; and
Intel® Visual Fortran Compiler Professional Edition 11.1 for Windows*;

But when I go to run the telemac2d computation I am receiving the following error message at the compilation stage:

t2dfort.f(22): error #7881: This module file was generated for a different platform or by an incompatible compiler or compiler release. It cannot be read. [BIEF]

The temporary cas.txt file is generated containing the following files
err5532.err
PARAL
t2dfort.f
telemac2d.bat

Please can you give some advice, I've provided a fuller version of the command window message below.

Thanks

Mat

Dear Mat

This is a complex problem.
I would like some complementary information:
Are you running a 32 or 64 bits version of the compiler?
The current version is a 32 bits version and it's impossible to run it with a 64 bits compiler.

Regards
Christophe

Dear Telemac Support,

Thank you for replying so quickly. FYI - the system I'm using is Windows XP Professional x64 Edition Version 2003 SP2, and the processor is a Intel Xeon X5570 @ 2.93GHz

I downloaded the Intel® Visual Fortran Compiler Professional Edition 11.1.060 Update 5 for windows.

As far as I can tell this included:
Intel Visual Fortran Compiler for applications running on IA-32; and
Intel Visual Fortran Compiler for applications running on Intel(R)64

It must have been running on intel 64 by default, which was causing problems.

It now works if I launch TELEMAC through the IA-32 Intel Compiler Environment Console window.

(Start) > Programs > Intel Software Development Tools > Intel Visual Fortran Compiler Professional 11.1.060 > Intel Visual Fortran Compiler for applications running on IA-32

This produces the desired res file. Do you have the User Manual for RUBENS so that I can post-process and visualise the results? I couldn't fine it on the website or forum and I noticed that another post has asked for this documentation, but there was no reply?

Kind regards

Mat
