Hello!

I have an urgent question regarding boundary conditions, when we deal with an active tracer as the temperature.
I want to analyze the only impact of temperature on the flow field. E.g. Tair=30°C and Twater=25°C.
Which kind of boundary condition is taken into account for the tracer (temperature) at the lateral boundaries? At the inflow I impose a constant discharge Q but I did not specify the temperature (we need to set a value for the transport equation indeed), it means that it is zero or that is 25°C constantly or...?

thanks, yes I did. Actually I in the first computations I considered the boundary conditions of tracer as solid walls. But probably is a wrong assumption, I should set at the inflow maybe constant 25°C but this means that I have cold water continuously flowing inside the domain... (temperature of air is set 30°C)
I attach three figures (results after one day - with Blue Kenue - bottom layer, middle layer and surface layer), can someone please check?

Hello,

Usually when you prescribe a flowrate on a liquid boundary (in particular for an inflow), you also prescribe the value of the tracer(s).

What would you like to prescribe for the tracer? A uniform value along the whole liquid boundary but which may vary in time? A condition depending on space and time?

yes, exactly as you said. Last week I fixed everything and prescibed also the tracer at the inflow giving a Temperature of 26.5°C, where also Q is prescribed (2060 m3/s). At the outflow I have free tracer and imposed water elevation.

I am now implementing one day of variable temperature of the air and wind as a test.
Using still version 6.3, for the moment I would like to stay with this.

Can someone check please my files and the error in the output file? I don't understand where is the mistake.

The error message indicate a problem in finding the subroutine interpmeteo.
check if it was well compiled and available in the libraries. It seems to me that interpmeteo is located in telemac2d so maybe an interface missing at the beginning of the subroutine...

For your information, the assistance on the forum is usually done for the last telemac version (ie v7.1).

Is it the same mistake that I icurred in in v6p3?

Is my formatted file correctly written?
I am only considering wind and temperature of air variable in time (heat exchange with atmosphere --> option 1)

Did you update your fortran file accordingly to the new version?
What mistake did you corrected for v6.3?
With v7.1 you have new capacities to manage meteo file but your formatted file looks correct

Yes I worked directly on the fortran file of v7
With mistake with v6p3 I meant the error printed in the output file (that you mentioned could be related to interpmeteo) which I did not fix yet

unfortunately I am still getting this error:

compilation terminated.

I am using v7.1 and all subroutines and files should be updated to the version. Has someone some ideas about what else I could try?
