Hi all,
I'm having trouble getting a temperature signal in a water source simulation.
I'm trying to simulate a water discharge into a port. The source point is located 1 m below the lowest elevation, and the temperature of the discharged water is 7 degrees lees than the temperature of the port water. The flow is quite low, 0.1m3/s.
The resulting temperature field of the layer in which the source point is located is absolutely constant. I need to increase the flow to 0.75m3/s and the temperature difference to 20 degrees in order to see any signal of the discharge in the temperature field.
Strangely enough, I also have another (inert) tracer that is zero all over the domain, and that is also present in the discharged water. This tracer shows a perfect gradient, dispersion and advection due to tides. But in temperature, I get nothing!
I would appreciate if someone could give me any hint on what I'm doing wrong, or point me in the right direction. Attached is my cas file.
Many thanks in advance,
Marcos
