Hello everyone,

I am a beginner on telemac3d and need to model a river's flow.

After creating the .slf, .cli, and .cas files, I tried to run the simulation but got this error message (Attachments). I tried to solve it by changing the tidal boundary condition, but I think it has problems with my MPI. Anyway, it didn't work so I'm a bit lost, if anyone has any idea of how to solve it, it would be great.

Not easy to identify the problem...
I think you should start with a simpler steering file and complexify it step by step...
Maybe as a very first trial, you could run a test in 2D for short time to check the initial tidal condition and the first time step...

Once it's ok, move to 3D always with a small duration, with small graphic and listing printout period...

In my opinion, 3 planes is a small value even it should work, maybe you have to look at this point and also the vertical discretization.

Same for the turbulence, start with constant viscosity and upgrade to K-eps later...
