Hi!
I am simulating a river in telemac-3d. I have a boundary condition of prescribed discharge upstream at the top of the domain, and a prescribed elevation downstream at the estuary, where I give the tide values (varying between about -1 m and 1 m).

The downstream part of the river has a negative elevation (bottom.png picture), some points reach -10 m above sea level.

The problem is that, due to the negative elevation of the bathimetry, during the simulation, the prescribed elevation at the boundary downstream causes a water depth of several meters in the channel (water depth.png) which is not realistic!
How can I fix this problem?
Thanks a lot
Giulia

Hi
Are you sure you didn't make a confusion between Water depth and free surface?
if the bottom level is -10m and the prescribed elevation is between -1m and 1m, the water depth should be between 9m and 11m...
