Hi,

The number of horizontal levels depends more on the physical process that you want to model rather than the absolute water depth. You typically need more layers in case you have strong stratification due to vertical salinity or temperature gradients. S, without more information on the purpose of your simulation, it is not possible to estimate the number of horizontal levels.
