Hi

I was checking at subroutine viscml.f and at page 67 of chapter 2 of the Hydrodynamics of Free Surface Flows book, and found that for an outfall (heat outfall) is better to use option 4 (JET) for the mixing length model. However, I was wondering if is possible to use this model just for a small domain which corresponds to the outfall and use the standard Prandtl model for the rest of the domain. How should I go about it?

Hello,

Actually we removed this model for jets, it raised problems and was not written for parallelism. It is superseded by models like k-epsilon that "see" jets because they "know" the gradients of velocity.
