Hi all,

I'm a new user of Telemac. I've done a 3D model which is operational.
My aim is to see bed evolution only with hydraulic parameters (I don’t want to input sediment concentration at the boundary).

NOMBRE DE TRACEURS : 1
SEDIMENT : OUI
VALEURS INITIALES DES TRACEURS : 0.0
VITESSE DE CHUTE CONSTANT : -0.176
PARAMETRE DE SHIELDS : 0.095565749
DIAMETRE MOYEN DES GRAINS : 0.002
PROFILS DES TRACEURS SUR LA VERTICALE : 1;1;1;1;1;1;1;1;1;1
VALEURS IMPOSEES DES TRACEURS : 0;0;0;0;0;0;0;0;0;0
All these boundaries are free for the tracers expect the third one.
Is this file correct to have erosion?

My first question, is the bed of my model made of the same sediment of the one I’ve input there?

Second one
To calculate bed evolution Telemac solves the Exner equation:
(1-n) dZb/dt + (E-D) =0
Erosion rate
E= Ws Ceq (Ws is input in my file; and Ceq will be solved by the Zyserman and Fredsoe formula)
Deposition rate
D = Ws Czref (Zref is defined in ERODNC as 2d50)
Am I correct?

Dear P.N.,

I am not sure what you want to do. Are you coupling Telemac3D with Sisyphe, because the keywords in your post are from Sisyphe?
In this case, it is better to post your Topic in Sisyhe part of the Forum ;)

And if you give the fraction of the sediment in the steering file only, then the Sediment given there is also applied on your river bed.

However, you can find all these Information in the Sisyphe Manual.

Thanks for your answer.

I’m not coupling Telemac3D with Sisyphe in this case, all this keywords are from telemac3dv6p2.dico. I know that Telemac3D is able to solves Exner equation with suspension only, with the “Sedi3D” (and others subroutines).
Firstly I want to see erosion on my river bed and then input sediment in suspension at the inlet of my model.
If this is out of use, I will go on coupling Telemac/Sisyphe directly.

Dear P.N.,
I suggest you to use Telemac-3d to solve your suspended sediment problem. You can take a look to some of the examples available in the Telemac-3d examples gallery, e.g. depot, erosion_flume, or Rouse.
