open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Hello everyone,

Everytime I add the WIND to my 3d model, the error "EXCEEDING MAXIMUM ITERATIONS" will appear.
If I turn off the WIND, I have run successfully the 3d model for 29 days!
Attached please find the error and my steering file.

The coefficient expected by Telemac is A(wind) * RO(air) / RO(water), so your coefficient should be multiplied by 1.29/density(water) which is of the order of 1.E-3.

The wind velocity is 4.6m/s，so I set the key words
COEFFICIENT OF WIND INFLUENCE =5.65E-4
But it failed.

I was not very clear, but in fact what I tell you is that you should not put:

COEFFICIENT OF WIND INFLUENCE =5.65E-4

but:

COEFFICIENT OF WIND INFLUENCE =7.2885E-7

because in Telemac the coefficient of wind influence includes the ratio of densities between air and water. my 7.2885E-7 is obtained with a density of water of 1000 kg/m3 and a density of air of 1.29 kg/m3, of course you may choose other values.
