Hello all,

I would like to create a selafin file with several parts that are not inter-related, that are not connected. I wonder if this is possible to do something like this in Blue Kenue. I tried something like that this afternoon and I have not been able to determine the type of boundary conditions on one of the subset. It looks like it counts the border node from 1 in anti-clock wise way and then it does not pass by the second subset...

Could you please help me ?

Regards.

Hi,

it does not solve your problem, but why do you need a mesh with several not interrelated parts? Do you mean that the parts are seperated and not related to each other? Why would you like to implement all the parts in one mesh?
I wounder what you intend to do or which FE-software can solve this issue..

Regards,
Gabi

Hi,

The idea is to implement the lateral coupling 1D-2D exposed in Goutal et al. 2014 but in a real case : on the Garonne river with MASCARET and TELEMAC. Using a mesh with not connected sub-meshes is a way to handle only one geometry file in TELEMAC instead of a geometry file for each sub-mesh. However the OpenPALM coupler can allow us for handling several 2D sub-models easily. I hope I answered your question.

Hi,

This would be a "non-standard" way of handling a mesh in TELEMAC so there is no support in the Blue Kenue boundary conditions editor for this situation.

Unless Fudaa has support for this you will have to create the CONLIM file by hand.

Hi

For the creation of a recent test case I built such mesh in BK without any problem...
I don't remember exactly how I do that but it seems I created the various submesh separately (with different mesh generator) and I used the merge mesh function to build the global mesh as a T3M object.

With the final T3M mesh, I generate the selafin and the boundary condition file without any problem...

Hope this helps
Christophe
