Did you try File > Open and then change the filter to "Point Sets (*.pt2, *.xyz, *.pcl)"?

Kindly... Alan

Hey I'm trying to apply 2D interpolator on a bathymetric file(.xyz), now I can open the file correctly, but when I drag it into the 2D view, there are only 2 colors as shown below.

But when I finish the 2D interpolator function by Map Objects, the results seem fine?

I don't know if the 2 color shown bathymetric data will influence my following steps of establishing .slf and .cli file?

Thank you so much!

Did you check the colour scale? Does it makes sense?

Did you check some of the points in your loaded object? Do they make sense?

Kindly... Alan

Alan,
Is it perhaps because the colourScale is computed without ignoring the NoDataValue?

Martin, that seems like a possibility. It seems that Blue Kenue never asks if the data contains a NoDataValue while opening an .XYZ file... which seems like an oversight.

xuekaijiang, does your .XYZ file contain a value to indicate that there is NO value at some particular locations? That is... a number to indicate a missing value? (otherwise known as a NoDataValue by Martin)

Kindly... Alan

While waiting for a response...

I've added a new dialog to ask for an OPTIONAL :NoDataValue when loading an .XYZ file. The next installer created after 13 Feb 2025 will have this new feature.

Hey , I checked my original .xyz fle.

The z value of many points are not reasonable, and may be seen as invalid value?

But I apply color bar to mseh before and after the .xyz projection, and I can see the difference of mesh elevations of different points.
