Dear all,

Is there any way to install FUDAA-PREPRO on linux OS ? Or is there any other existing preprocessor for setting up a TELEMAC2D scenario which can be installed in Linux ? I have created my geometry file in Blue Kenue and now would like to start preprocessing it ...
Thank you for your kind reply.

Hello Jean-Phiilippe,

As FUDAA-PREPRO is written in java, it can be run on Linux. You have to install java first.

Hope this helps,

Ok. Thank you Chi-Tuan!

I installed Oracle Java 7 on ubuntu 12.04 in order to run FUDAA-PREPRO. But then, although it may be straightforward for most of you, I am still stuck at running FUDAA-PREPRO. I downloaded the compressed folder from the website, and uncompressed it but then how do I do? In the folder, I cannot find any java application or .exe file ??

Hello Jean-Philippe,

I am not sure that it is really straightforward for a non java user (I am not). Personnally, I write:
java -jar name_of_version_of_fudaa_prepro.jar

If your data are very big, there is a means to increase the memory:
java -Xmx1024M -jar name_of_version_of_fudaa_prepro.jar (e.g. if you want to use 1024M memory).

Regards,

Chi-Tuan

Dear Acsantosr,

That jar file is a "java executable" rather than a standalone Library, you shouldn't be opening with netbeans IDE but with a Java Runtime Enviroment.

To do so, install Java in your distro, right click the file and mark it as executable, and open it double-clicking it.
