Hello everyone

I've been exporting longitudinal section (along my river axis) in POST for a few simulations, but the number of points in the export table changes from export to export (from 6000 to 7000 for example), whereas the mesh ans section line used for the export is the same.

Granted, this can be solved in Excel with a Vlookup or an interpolation function but i was wondering if there's a way to "freeze" the number of points used in the profile.

Thanks

Hi
It's strange because as far as I know, for the profile, Fudaa create points at each time the profile cross an edge of an element and compute the value at this node by linear interpolation along this edge...
So it's understandable if the mesh change but if the mesh and the section are the same, this means there is another methodology of computation.
Maybe you could post an example...

regards
Christophe

Hello

you're right but I've just noticed that the problem is that there are some random duplicates points, not always at the same spot, which shifts the values below (yellowed in the attachment)

Thanks
