I'm using KHINOE to simulate the effect of ice cover on hydrodynamics, and I started with the example test cases in the ice_cover-2d folder and ran case 4 with ice jam. I'm confused how the model treat the ice process. Because in this test, the heat exchange processes are not included, but as shown in attached figures, the ice top elevation and bottom elevation changed significantly in very short time, but the total ice thickness didn't change. why did this phenomenon happen?
