Hi all,
I'm now learning the model Mascaret, and I found that in the theory guide book there's a solver named EROSIF.

It makes it possible to model erosion especially for the gravity dams and it's really interesting. Nevertheless, I didn't achieve to find the model and the source code of EROSIF solver in Mascaret (v8p4r0).

I'm now wondering if Mascaret could resolve such problem as the gravity dam breaking, using the methode explained in the theory guide book. If so, how can we make it ? Can someone be really kind to send me the source code of EROSIF if possible ?

Regards,
Grebe

Good morning,

From the theory guide, it seems that the EROSIF solver is another solver developed by E. BEN SLAMA.

If you want to look at the adaptation, in the Mascaret code I would suggest looking at the source code Mascaret/erodev.f90

I am not very familiar with Mascaret, other people might give you a more precise answer. But, for now it may be a good start, and it seems to be similar to what is described in the theory guide.

Best regards,
Jean-Paul

Hello Jean-Paul,

Thanks so much for your kind help !

I took a look at the code (erodev.f), it seems that it's the same thing as described in the theory guide.

However, there's one thing I don't exactly understand : in the code, it's hard-corded the parameters (ZHAUT/D50/ZBAS...), seems that there's no chance for user to give the parameters in Fudaa-Mascaret, and even in the xcas file since I've noticed that there's no entrance for these parameters...

In fact, what I'm still confused at is that, how can we use this Eroding Dams model in fudaa-mascaret or in xcas file. It seems that there's no "door" for us ?

Hope someone could help me.

Kindly,
Grebe
