open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Hello to the TELEMAC-MASCARET community,

I would like to report a problem encountered when installing version 3.6 of Fudaa-Mascaret on my new computer.
Note: this problem may also apply to older versions of the installer.

I didn't encounter any error messages when installing Java or Fudaa-Mascaret. However, when it's time to run a calculation, the following error message appears " ***** C:\Users\[User name]\AppData\Local\Temp\fudaa_srv\mascaret\mascaret_8_0\mascaret.exe lance ***** " without any modeling results.

The simplest solution I know of is to add the following unzipped folder to the C:\ root of your computer (see attached), which used to be installed with older versions of TELEMAC (before TELEMAC's automatic installer, which works divinely well if installed on the C:\ root).

My apologies, the attachment mentioned in my previous message was not sent with it. If it doesn't send itself with one, it's probably too big.

The folder mentioned previously was the opentelemac-mascaret folder with the python27, mpich2, mingw64 and metis scripts.
Note: I didn't check exactly which scripts were absolutely necessary for Fudaa-Mascaret to work properly.

Look at the rules to check the authorized types of files in the forum and also the limit size...
By the way, you should be aware that fudaa-mascaret is no longer maintained and then the mascaret version inside this application is not the latest one...
You should now use the dedicated QGIS plugin which is more gis-friendly and integrate the latest version of mascaret (exe and api).
