open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

My computer (on Win7) has recently been updated with Java 1.7.
Since then Fudaa-Mascaret does not start and returns the attached error message.


Is Fudaa-Mascaret linked to a specific version of Java ?
Or was it limited to the latest version of Java at the time of release ?
What shall I do ?

Note that our IT administrator says:
JRE6 is end of life this month, so unless you have a support contract with Oracle you will not be able to get security updates for JRE 6 as there advise is not to keep older versions of Java on your system.

Hello Julien,

the current version of FUDAA-MASCARET is not compatible with Java JRE 1.7. The next version will be.

At present there is a way to run the software only if you also have Java 1.6 on your computer. Change the java executable of the command line associated with the icon from :

"C:\Windows\System\javaw.exe"

to something like this :

"C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_20\bin\javaw.exe"

The next version of FUDAA-MASCARET (compatible with Java JRE 1.7) will be available this summer.
