Merci!

Hi
this is strange
did you take care to define the initial condition for the computation continuation with the end result of the first computation?

regards

PS: think to update you profile

Hi,

Yes, every time I make a computation continuation I take the last water profil (levels and flows) that was calculated. But even if my simulation was stable at the end when I start a new simulation is like the model "forget" the pre-simulation and it becomes unstable at the beginning but it reachs the same values (those from the initial conditions) at the end of the simulation.
I added the fudaa mascaret file of my simulation. The initials conditions are from a 500 000 s of simulation and every thing was stable at all sections. I made a 20 000 s simulation and you can see how the water level changes at the beginning but becomes stable at the end.
Thanks!

and your boundary conditions are consistent with the initial state?

PS: zip the file to add it otherwise it will be blocked

I tried to zip the file but I get a message telling me is too big.
I change the simulation time, only 10 s and I think now it's good to zip it and send it to you.

Yes, I have the same boundary conditions : constant flow at the upstream and constant water level at the downstream.
At some sections the water level variation is only 1-2 cm but some places there are 0,5 m and more.
All the flows (apport des rivières) are constants too.

I download it and will have a look
A simple test show me that I also have this small variations...

Thanks!
Take a look of this images from a 500 000 s simulation at 3 different location: PK5000 m, PK100000m and PK200000m.

Hi

I had a look on your model but doesn't found what could create those instabilities.

I'll let the specialist look on your model.

Best regards
Christophe

Hi Christophe!
I was wondering if your specialist had the time to take a look of my model?
I'm still doing dam break simulations on that river and I still have the same problems...is there another way to comunicate with you?
Thank you very much!
