Thank you for your add-on file.

I'm using Ubuntu 14.04 LTS and I had the same error information as Michele.

What I've done is:

1. copy the "libsera.so" into the folder /usr/local/tecplot360ex/bin/

2. add "$!LoadAddon "sera" # TELEMAC dataloader" into the file "tecplot.add"

Then when I tried to open a ".slf" file, it gave the error information and program crashed.

Dear all,

For me, I always use the Bluekenue to export the *.dat file and views in 'Tecplot 360 2012R1'. But it is time costing, expecially for the case of multiple parameters and multiple time steps.

I am want to ask wheather it is possible for 'add-on' files which could also used in the'Tecplot 360 2012R1' in the windows version ??

You will find the Windows add-on for Tecplot 360 2012R1 on the message
#14332, page 3 of this topic.

Using .dat ASCII files has the advantage of being readable but is very inefficient for big data. When loading .dat files, Tecplot converts the data into a binary format.

The fastest formats for visualizing big data sets are the .plt (in 360) and the .szplt (in 360 EX) binary formats.

You will find a description on how to install the add-on in this video.

This is in regard with Tecplot360Ex2014R1.

In previous versions of Tecplot, I was able to make plots and save layout for a dataset and when I got the new dataset, I could just change the source of the data, in the stored layout, from before and could see the plot change.

It seems, I can't do the same in Tecplot360Ex2014R1, it only gives me option to add the data for a layout and no replace. Has this facility been removed, or am I missing something?

Sorry for my late answer.

This feature is loader-dependant.

With the Telemac loader, you can load a layout with a first data-set and then load another data-set.
When prompted, choose "Retain plot style and create new dataset". This allows you to keep the opened layout and apply it to the new data.

Another way is to save frame styles and apply them to any loaded data-set. This works best if you have few frames.

The third option is to save a linked layout .lay. You can then edit this layout and change the path of the file to load.

Blue-Kenue or Fudaa-Prepro can open the TELEMAC result with .res or .slf file. But how can I get the result data for Tecplot from Blue-Kenue or Fudaa-Prepro?
