open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Hi everybody,

I'm a fresh beginner with Paraview.
I use to work on Telemac so I have selafin data. I want to use my data on paraview. To do so, I tried the software sel2vtk_new. It works but when I want to open my new vtk data on paraview the following message appears.



After a while trying to solve my issue, I decided to install the plugin which allows to read slf data directly on Paraview. But I have no idea how to install it.

If someone has some advice about this plugin or the sel2vtk, it could be very useful !

As asked, you have to select the right reader which should be Legacy VTK Files and it should work.
For the plugin it's useful as you doesn't have to convert the result but it's a little bit more complicated as you have to compile paraview and after that the plugin with the same configuration...
Once both are compile, you could just add the plugin in paraview (manage plugins)
If you're a beginner in paraview, I think it's not really the right solution...

So you think I have to test every reader until I find the good one ? I already tried "VTK particle files" because it sounds being the good one but nothing appears (no error message).

Your result is not a particle file!

Try "Legacy VTK Files" or look for VTK unstructured grids...

These readers don't exist on my paraview4.4 should I upload it to paraview5 ?

You probably should have something similar as the vtk converter exists since a long time.
But you could also update to the latest version (the one I use but I'm on windows)
