Hello everyone,

I would appreciate if someone could help me with this error message below. It is about modifying variable names in 2d slf file (run_telfile.py alter --rename).

Thank you.

Hello,

As per my knowledge, the Telemac2d recognizes the wind variable as "WIND ALONG XY" and not as 'WINDXY U & WINDXY V'.

so try to rename the variable accordingly.

Regards,

Kanak

Thank you for your response.

I try to use a binary atmospheric file for space and time varying winds. In V8P5 I should rename wind variables as WINDXY in order to not use fortran meteo file.

Hello Amar,

What I know as names of variables for wind are WINDX and WINDY not WINDXY U nor WINDXY V.
I would try to run run_telfile.py alter in 2 steps:
run_telfile.py alter –rename ’WIND ALONG X=WINDX’ name_old_file name_new_file_X
run_telfile.py alter –rename ’WIND ALONG Y=WINDY’ name_new_file_X name_new_file

Anyway, I do not know the error written in your figure.
