I'm trying to model a canal system, my .liq is a time series with tide levels. But I'm not sure how to use PRESCRIBED LIFT. I don't understand if I write a value for the keyword, this value will be overwritten in my .cli file.

What do you mean by "PRESCRIBED LIFT", keyword PRESCRIBED ELEVATIONS?
In that case, please read the "Prescribing boundary conditions" section in the TELEMAC-2D user manual and you may have answers.
