Hi all,

I thought I'd share my master's thesis (in French), published a few months ago, on the use of GAIA for modelling gravel bedload evolution in a mesoscale flume. Perhaps some of the discussion could be relevant either to end users looking to model bedload processes, or to the GAIA team for potential improvements.

It must be said, I'm not a natural academic, and I'm sure there are many ways I could've improved my work, but I had to teach myself many of the tools to do any of this. That said, please let me know if there are things I could take into account to improve my modelling in the future.

I may as well take this opportunity to thank the kind folks on this forum who helped me with technical questions throughout my studies.

Bonne lecture !

Hello André,

Thanks for having shared your master's thesis.

What do you plan to do now? Still in modelling with TELEMAC tools?

Bonne continuation,

Chi-Tuan

Hi Chi-Tuan,

I'm working in consulting engineering now. I still use TELEMAC on occasion, but not as much as I would like. HEC-RAS is more common here. Nevertheless, a lot of what I learned in my studies is transferrable, even if only as general knowledge in sediment and hydrodynamic modelling.

Bonne journée !

Maybe you or an admin could update the profile interface to remove SISYPHE, add GAIA, and remove Windows XP as an option, and then we can talk about me updating my profile ... bonne journée ;)

Well seen! 1 point for you!
For sure this is something to update...
But sorry I'm not able to access to the back-end of the website to upgrade this.
By the way, those changes must be decided at the consortium level (in which I am no longer  )
