Hallo,

I am nearly done with work up my simulation results and I tried to geht the maximum flood extent via QGIS - everything worked fine, BUT now I am facing the problem that I have the DEM or land connected with the waterbody and I can not clip my flood extend. I thought I managed this with adding the FreeSurface in BlueKenue (Land set to zero and water with negative values). Because I have plenty of land behind dikes that are for sure not flooded but in the output raster it all looks the same.

So I would like to have just the waterbody without land as an output of my simulation, like it is possible in Delft3D??

I hope you understand my problem and can help me! Otherwise feel free to ask.
Thank you and have a wonderful day!

Hi
Free surface is the addition of Bottom + Water depth ...
If you're only interested by the extend, use the Water depth with a minimum value of 1 cm for example)

Christophe

Thank you! Yes I am just interested in the maximum flood extend, and I have a very shallow area...

So, there is not a tool in blueKenue or in a command in the steering file helping my to just get the waterbody as an output without any land elevation?

Thank you and have a nice day!
