I wanted to make the simulation of 2D sediment, but I faced some difficulties regarding this points


1/ In the manual, it has been mentioned in the case of multiple fractions of sand and mud, only two fractions can be modeled, is there is away to increase the number of the fractions in version V7P2?
2/ in the case of imposing Time series concentration at the boundary for multiple fractions. is it possible to put it in the (LIQUID BOUNDARY FILE)like this

3/ is it possible to run both bed load and suspended load together? depending on the manual, it has been mentioned (BED LOAD = NO and SUSPENSION = YES)
in the case of non-uniform sediment.

Hi!

2) For the variable input of sediments, I think you can only do it by using the CONLIT subroutine, with which you can code your own variable input in Fortran.

3) I think I have read here that you could check the sisyphe example 004_conservation in which you have both bedload and suspension enabled.

Hi!

Did you figure out how to put a time series of mass concentration in a liquid boundary?

I am thinking on using the liquid boundary condition for Telemac2D but in the SISYPHE manual is not clear how to include the depth-averaged mass concentration in the liquid boundaries file.

Telemac liquid boundary file should look like this:

I don't know whether the liquid boundary file for SISYPHE has to be the same than for Telemac or a different one.

Hi Beya,

Exactly, you can do it by using the liquid boundary condition (at least in 3D you can do it, I the same in 2D).

Be aware that in SISYPHE you have to imposed concentration as non-dimensional volumes (i.e.5606).

Telemac liquid boundary file looks like :

T Q(boundary number) SL(boundary number) TR(boundary number, class of sediment).

You only need 1 liquid boundary file in TELEMAC.
