Hello everyone,

i'm using Telemac-2D on win 7 64bits machine, i've explored the forum for alternatives solutions to install a free Fortran compiler that is not Intel Fortran Composer XE.

My question is:

Are there any free or others Fortran compilers that works on win 7 64bits and that allow to run a Telemac-2D project in normal and parralel mode?

Thanks for your answers,
Heartily,
Max.

te ansmwer is probably yes (gfortran or g95) but this is allways more complex to configure.

Hi,

Telemac can be used in scalar mode on Windows with gfortran, g95 and Intel Ifort. So far, The parallel mode is only working with the Intel Ifort compiler.

However, I recently managed to run a parallel case with gfortran & MPICH2. But a lot of work remain before releasing this solution (compiling libmetis for gfortran on Windows is not straightforward)
=> More information on #5915 at www.opentelemac.org/index.php?option=com...2&id=3537&Itemid=177.

Using a virtual box may be a preferable alternative solution.
