I successfully ran a simulation using a Bottom Friction Coeff of 0.015 and a Time Step of 60 s. When I changed the Bottom Friction Coeff to 0.019, my simulation crashes. However, it begins to run when I increase the Time Step to 75 secs.

Since these are the only variables I have changed, I am wondering how they are related. As it seems my calibration process will involve altering both variables.

Hello,

I guess you are using the Nikuradse friction law? What advection scheme are you using?

Best regards,
