dear friends:
how to solve the question“PLANTE: Program Stopped After an Error:”,From the error information, the PLANTE function encountered negative or other abnormal values during depth calculation, causing the program to abort. Check the depth data in the input files or the geometry file to ensure no negative or erroneous values.

Terrain elevation in interpolation data is negative. This is determined by the simulated area.

Hello,

Good news, when you get such an error message "PLANTE: PROGRAM STOPPED AFTER AN ERROR", this is an error expected by the developer and usually, a few lines before, you can read the verbose error message.

In your case, it says that you have horizontal planes that cross, which is forbidden by TELEMAC-3D.
There may be several reasons why you get that, the 2 following are classical:
- you have dry areas but you use TIDAL FLATS = NO. Please turn to YES if set to NO (if you set to NO you have to be sure that you never have dry areas),
- you have negative depths in your simulation, in that case, try TREATMENT OF NEGATIVE DEPTHS = 2 (not 1 which is the default value until release 8.5 but will be changed in next release, or 0).

Hope this helps,

Chi-Tuan
