Hello
Is TELEMAC3D suitable for simulating the experiment described in Weber's paper "Experiments on flow at a 90° open-channel junction"? The experimental setup is shown in the figure. In this study, the total combined flow, Qt = 0.170 m³/s, and the tailwater depth, 0.296 m, were held constant. The specific flow rates for the tributary and the main channel are shown in the table.
Best wishes,

Hello,

To my point of view, it is possible.
Warning: depending on the horizontal and vertical refinements, you may have to change the default value for MINIMUM VOLUME OF 3D ELEMENTS (= 1.E-6 m3 = 1 cm3)?

Hope this helps,

Chi-Tuan
