I have a problem with the recording.
I generated a video .avi file, but it only appear one image in the whole video, I don't see the other steps.

Did you specify that your variable could be animated?
Right clic --> Animate or Edit menu --> Animate

If yes, can you tell us more about the parameters you have selected for the recording (nb of frames, frame rate, encoding...) ?

Yes, I do the right clic in the variable and selected "Animate".

The parameters that I selected was:

-Movie Frames: 30
-Frame Rate: 15
-Encording: MS Video1
-Quality: 100
-Image Size: 530-433

Using those parameters would give you only (NumFrames/framerate) 2s of video. Is that what you want?

Also, BK starts recording from the position that the animation is setup, i.e., those 30 frames starts counting from the current frame set in the animation toolbar. Also, take into account that you may need extra codecs to play the video, try with VLC or using the "Uncompressed" option.

I really don't understand numFrames/framerate options, I used what I mentioned because that give me a video more than 2 seg, when I give Movie Frames less than 15, I didn't watch anything. I have 6 steps of time. Could you give me some advice of what parameters use to have a good video?

By the way, Yes, I did use VLC to play the video.

Hi,

The framerate is the number of frame per second. If you ask for 30 frames at 15 frames per second, your recording will last 2 seconds.

If you have 6 time steps, you can try with simple parameters as 1 frame per second and 6 frames, that will give you a recording of 6 seconds (one time step of your simulation per second). I tested it with MS Video1 encoding, and it works fine for me.

Don't forget to rewind your variable before starting each recording .
