Hi Alan,

thanks a lot.

I think the purpose of the former BK developers to limit the representation of numbers in the third column to 7 digits was the reduction of the file size which is really reasonable and I'm also a fan of it. Hence my suggestion to increase it by one digit only. However, in the meantime more hard disk space, more ram,...

Best regards,
Clemens

I'd humbly suggest the following:
  • If file size is an issue (for me it's not an issue because I can buy external USB hard drives on the order of TeraBytes for a couple of hundred dollars these days) then please don't use ASCII files... use BINARY files as they will save much more disk space compared to an ASCII file AND BINARY files are faster to load too...
  • If you believe it... RAM will not be affected by the choice that I made to increase the number of digits after the decimal point in an ASCII file
  • Saving to an ASCII file and saving to a BINARY file, in my opinion, when loaded and compared, should provide the exact same numerical statistics. I haven't tested this, but in my opinion it should be the case...

Kindly... Alan
