Hey, I'm practicing extracting the Velocity_U/V function with the sample file from Tutorial2.

When I followed the steps in the Telemac 2D Tutorial (Chapter 5.2), I can't find "New Mesh" object from the drag down child objects.

(This is the pic in the Tutorial)

(This is what I got after using the same sample file and following the same steps)

I tried to use the "Bottom" object as the domain mesh here , and continue to follow the steps of map objects function from page 78-79, and it seemed I could also get the correct result as shown below:

However, when I did the same thing to my .res file ,it didn't work out :

I have also attached my .res file here , could you please help me to check it ?

Thank you so much!!

Possibly related to your post #46284.

I am currently investigating that one; afterwards I will see if it "automatically" fixes this one.

When I load your result file there are no velocity values. Therefore, Map Object has nothing to map.
  • You can see this if you double click on the VELOCITY UV object in the WorkSpace because a dialog box pops up in which you can click on the data tab and find all attribute min/max values. In your case they are all 0.

FYI - In order to figure out how to "get velocity values" you'll have to read the Telemac 2D documentation (or ask for help in the Telemac 2D section of this forum) because that is not a Blue Kenue question.
