open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Hello everybody,

I downloaded bathymetry data from digimap. However, I don't know how to open them in Blue Kenue. Indeed the extension of fils is .asc. Does someone know how can I change them to .xyz files or anythimg which can be read by blue kenue?

Hi Jonathan,

Blue Kenue can import the *.asc file via:

File -> Import -> ArcINFO grid (ASCII)

Not at all! If you didn't see where it was at the beginning then there might be a usability problem. What do you think might have helped you find it the first time? Maybe there is something "easy" that could be added to help in that regard...

Yes It was really helpfull, I'm doing it right, however I have 130 files to put in and to change into .xyz file so it's long way before I can map it with my mesh!!!

Hi Jonathan,

You can use the MapObject function to directly map
from a regular grid to a mesh.
No need to convert to xyz.

That seems like something pyEnSim could help with. If you are only reading and then writing the 130 files then a little python script could probably get that job done. What is your email? I can contact you separately...
