Visualisation of velocity vectors in POST 14 years 7 months ago #132

Dear,

I am modelling the widening of a channel in Telemac, and I would like to visualise the recirculation after the widening in the POST-editor of Fudaa.
By now I only found the possibility to show the magnitudes of total velocity, v- and u-velocity.

Is there an option to show the total velocity-vectors as arrows in POST?

Thanks in advance,

Evert

Dear Evert
In the layer management, there is a specific layer for vertors
You just have to change it from hidden to display and you will have the vectors on your 2Dview

Hi,

is it possible to export the value and direction of these vectors ?

Many thanks

Hi Julien

I'm not sure but I think the answer is NO
Vectors are compute by Fudaa from the 2 components of Velocity but It seems to me it's impossible to export them.
You could export Velocity along X and Y

By using the calculator in Blue Kenue you can generate an object containing just magnitude or just direction. This can thn be saved to an ASCII t3s file.
