Hello

I have to work with artemis. As I know, it is impossible to use matisse with a negative water level (sand banks).
I have to modeedlise the agitation in a harbor. I want to do several simulation with different water level. I have all the bathymetry.
I created a mesh with matisse which works well for high see level. For low see level artemis crashed. I have to do a new contour.
My question is : is it possible to create a contour (under matisse) based on bathymetry isoline ? if no is it posssible to export bathymetry with fudaa selected with the contour of bathy isoline??

I hope you understand my problem

thanks a lot !!!

Hi
You make a shortcuts between Artemis limitation and Matisse which is a mesh generator and not the mesh itself.
Nevertheless, I think I understand your problem.
Here under some possibilities:
  • With Matisse, you could generate an isoline (Geometry lines) and use this line to generate a new outline;
  • With Fudaa, you could export a line in sinusx format and import this line in matisse to generate a new outline;
  • Maybe more interesting, With Fudaa, you have the possibility to make a treatment of the mesh and in this tools, you could extract a part of your initial mesh, inside a polygon for example.
Hope this helps
Christophe

thanks a lot for your quick and precise answer !

Create an isoline under matisse doesn't work. It says "impossible de fournir les données à rubens". But with fudaa it works well by creating a sinusx line.

thanks
