I have trouble initializing my bathymetry with Fudaa.

I want to use a .txt file to do it but it doesn't work.
In the 2D view of my telemac project, I use "initialize with geographic data" and then "modify from files" (sorry for these translations...). When I add my .txt file, I can't load it and I have this message :

"GRAVE: Le fichier doit contenir 2 champs (X,Y) au minimum"

I don't understand, what is the problem ?

Probably Fudaa doesn't recognize the separator.
Maybe you could choose another format in the list?

I tried other formats for my .txt file and with "Rubar cox (*.cox)" and it seems to work !

I don't know this format and I don't understand why it works with it but no matter...

I write you, because I have seem that you are doing something similar as me. I have a question, where do you load the file of the bathymetry? Because I have added as geometry the selafin. Thank you

I think we have a problem with this function. You can use an old release of fudaa-prepro for interpolate your bathymetry (for example 1.1RC13 that I have tested today). You can dowload this release : sourceforge.net/projects/fudaa/files/prepro/

Thanks!! I have downloaded the version that you have told me. But I don't know where I have to load the batymetry.txt. Because I have tried as liquid boundaries file, but it doesn't work. Where can I find a manual of Fudaa-Prepro, because I have find one, but It's very different from my program. Thank you.

Hi,

I send you a guide in french for interpolate the bathymetry on your meshed domain.
The fuction under the superrvisor is Grid processing (right button of the mouse on the geometry file). After the opened window, you have many possibilites. You select the target of "use interpolation" and give the name of your bathymétrie and the name of interpolated geometry file. You must select also the type of your files.

Sorry, but I can't find where it's this option, because the storm sign in my program is calculer, invece in the french manual seems that it says that it 's and option for modify the mesh. I can't modify the mesh neither select the target of use interpolation. Thank you for your help.

I think you were in the wrong window
First all, you must to be in the window of supervisor (fisrt window of fudaa-prepro). IN fact, in the 1.1RC11 release, the function haven't been translate. His name in french is "traitement du maillage". When you run this function, you open the "grid management " window. After, you give the name and the format of file etc...

I have checked the version, and it says: 'prepro version 1.1RC13 [2010-10-20]'

But it appears all the menus in the window of the supervisor in english.

It is a little bit strange.
