Hi,

I have a question about using georeferenced images in Fudaa.

As far as I know, it is possible to use a georeferenced image as a background in Fudaa, however the procedure used to do so needs to be repeated everytime we deal with postprocessing results.

My question is : Is it possible to save a file containing the georeferencing information that correspond to the image(pixel coordinates to real world coordinates)?

This helps to georeference the image once for all.

Hi,

For those who are interseted in the same question, the answer is to use a *.tab file generated with Mapinfo, or manually witten. In the latter case, take a copy of the pixel coordinates matching with the real world coordinates while georeferencing your image or refer to these coordinates somewere written in an xml file after saving (normally containing the name "***-Image.desc.xml", where *** is a number as arbitrary index).

Then we're done by importing the *.tab file in Fudaa.

Kind Regards,

hi,

Concerning the background layer :

In the current version of fudaa-prepro, for each picture, the user must specify the correspondence between pixels and real coordinates. The positioning of each picture is saved in the projet of fudaa-prepro. When the user opens this project with a picture in the background layer this picture is always georeferenced.

For a new project of fudaa-prepro with a new picture, the user must repeat the step of positioning.

In the future, we could develop the automatic positioning when the user uploads in the layer of background, a picture with the georeferencing information.
