hello everyone, i run a permanent model (steady flow) with a geometry and it works very well and gives a good results, but when i try to work with the same geometry in " fluvial non permanent " (unsteady flow) it gives me a problem of intepolation, the message said " Point abscissa is out of bounds (interpolation) : X=222.000 Xmin=0.0000 Xmax=0.0000"; while it works in steady flow without giving me this problem !!
what should i change to surpass this

Hi
This mean you probably use a law which is not define in time.
In fact Mascaret try to interpolate a value at X=222 in a law which is only define for X=0...
Check this first and if this doesn't solve your problem join the simulation file (in a zip) to this topic

This is your initial condition which is wrong!
You give only a value for the abscissa 0!
You should give a value for all abscissa or at least 2 values which cover the all model.
I tried to enter a 2nd value for x= 70000 and the computation works.

Otherwise, you could try to run a steady simulation for time 0 and use the result as initial condition for the unsteady simulation

i still have a small problem, the results given in only 0.0 second (" pas de temps ") and i don't know why, i think it should give me more

The discharge should be positive!
This mean you will have the same discharge in all cross sections of your model

Try to create the initial condition with a steady computation of the first time step and use it
