Hallo,

although I have in my parameter file:

GEOMETRY FILE FORMAT = SERAFIND
PREVIOUS COMPUTATION FILE FORMAT = SERAFIND
RESULTS FILE FORMAT = SERAFIND
REFERENCE FILE FORMAT = SERAFIND

I receive in the work directory in the file PARTEL.PAR:
T2DPRE
SERAFIN
T2DCLI
120
1


T2DGEO
SERAFIN

as well as in the file gretel_T2DRES.par:
T2DGEO
SERAFIN
T2DRES
SERAFIN
120
0

with messages in log files in the work directory like
ERROR IN FORMAT OF FILE T2DGEOIT IS A SERAFIND FILE

Although the runs seem to be OK with files when we apply simply
telemac2d.py -t --configname=parallel tel.cas

The merged files are not delivered by...
telemac2d.py -t --merge --configname=parallel tel.cas
because we have an error...

etc. etc. etc. Disappointing!

This must be an error in python scripts when writing the steering input files for partel and gretel -- the file formats strings are not correctly transferred from cas file and/or get default value SERAFIN

Please help, we would like to use this version of Telemac for benchmarking very, very soon...

I assume this error is present also in other versions.

PS. I have forgotten to add that making a quick-and-dirty "improvement" by changing in routine getFileFormat of runcode.py the default to return 'SERAFIND' does ther trick. Of course if you have only SERAFIND files. jaj

Hi, i've got the same problem than you when i want to parallelize my system for Telemac 2D.

What version are you using ?

Hi yugi,
I use v7p1r1 but i think the problem must come from the partitioning step.

When i check partel_T2DGEO.log there is no apparent error except :
RUNTIME OF METIS 0.0000000+00 SECONDS which means that there is no real action on the partition.

When i verify my T2DGEO temporary files, the first domain represents a lot more than all the other T2DGEO files (1.5M against 288 ko)

anyway, i'm trying to fix it at the level of the partitioner METIS
