Take few minutes to have a look at the weirs example of telemac-2D
If you open the mesh (geo_weirs.slf) in BK, display the node number and look at the description file of the weir (fo1_weirs.txt), you will see that the most importatn point is to give the numbers in a coherent order to ensure a direct link between upstream and downstream nodes. There is no impose direction of the flow so upstream and downstream are a convention name.
In the steering file (t2d_weirs.cas) you will also find how to indicate weirs only 2 keywords (WEIRS DATA FILE and NUMBER OF WEIRS)
Hope this helps

c.coulet replied to the topic 'Diffusion coefficient issue with multiple sources' in the forum.Hi
What you're describing sounds like a bug.
Before further investigation, you should try to update to the latest version (9.0). Maybe this was already corrected...

c.coulet replied to the topic 'The TELEMAC V8P4 automatic installer is now available for download' in the forum. What cause what?
Please read the forum rules and follow these rules.
This topic's name is an old information about the availability of the automatic installer for v8p4!
This doesn't give any idea of an encountered problem
This is related to an old version and assistance is only for the latest available version...

c.coulet replied to the topic 'Minimum edge length of mesh' in the forum. In a perfect world, this harcoded value should be replaced by a default value linked to a dedicated keyword...
I think this value has been chosen because in nature modeling we rarely represent details lower than 1mm.
Most of the time, this message allow users to identify a problem in their mesh (two nearest points in a constraint line for example)
Small scale physical model often suffer of distorsion problem leads by constraint on the spatial extent of the lab which is not the case of numerical model. Maybe you could think to build you model at the real scale...

c.coulet replied to the topic 'Steering File "FAILED TO LAUNCH" error' in the forum.Once again, as you're a newbie in openTelemac, you're strongly advise to read all the documents available and also make some search on the forum as such problem has been encountered many times and of courser answered also many times.
Using folder name with space is prohibited...

c.coulet replied to the topic 'How to read a temporal-spatial varying wind and air pressure data' in the forum.Hi
Except maybe if you use an old version, I confirm the post of Tomsail.
There is an interpolation in time done in the binary file read.

c.coulet replied to the topic 'Steering File "Unknown Keyword ERROR"' in the forum. As you don't want a hot start, you could remove this keyword. But as you indicate in your first post, the problem is elsewhere...
