Open position at BAW Karlsruhe, Germany

The Federal Waterways Engineering and Research Institute (BAW) in Karlsruhe has an open position in the section of Numerical Methods in Hydraulic Engineering, which is mostly based on using and developing TELEMAC.

The position is currently open and runs until 31 December 2014.

Some knowledge of basic German is a prerequisite and as a lot of the tasks involve teamwork, the willingness to learn and work in German is mandatory.

The main tasks are:

- Development and use of multidimensional flow and transport models
- Analysis of flow and transport processes in inland waterways
- Independent execution and supervision of research and development tasks
- User support and participation in the formulation of modelling guide lines
- Support for quality assurance in the field of numerical flow and transport modelling
