The website update went very smoothly and is now complete.
The more apparent change is obviously the brand new look and feel; we hope that the new layout will help finding key information more efficiently, and provide a better experience. The centre of the page is dedicated to helping newcomers to progress throughout the learning cycle: from the discovery of TELEMAC-MASCARET features, through its installation and use, to maybe one day contributing to its development. The top menu is now a shortcut to the most used pages of the site, regardless of the user’s level.
The less apparent - but just as important - change is the upgrade of the underlying website software to the latest version. This will allow us to bring more powerful functionalities in the future.
In the short term we will concentrate on adding more content on the site, in particular highly requested information such as installation of the system and tutorials. Later, towards the end of the year, we will add more functionality regarding the community aspect of the site. Do not hesitate to leave your feedback and suggestions on the forum.
German manual available

A new document in German language has been made available by Jean Ostrovsky at the university of Dresden. Although not a full manual, it provides a detailed description of the TELEMAC system (modules interaction, mathematics, pre- and post-processing...). It is available in the download section under MANUAL>GENERAL.

Those coming regularly on the website will have noticed the many changes that have occurred in the last few weeks. We would like to highlight in particular the improvement to the forum and to the general layout, as well as a new section dedicated to the TELEMAC community. We are gradually expanding this section to provide more powerful tools for the community to share ideas. We invite you to provide your suggestions on how to improve the website and the TELEMAC suite (for registered users).

An online documentation of the source code of the entire TELEMAC system is provided under section 'documentation'. It includes a short description of every subroutine, details on primary variables, call and caller graphs and development history.
