Hi there,

I just wanted to install Telemac on my openSuse Leap system, but I having some issues.
One of them is that I am not able to install MPI, as I can not find a package as describted here via zypper or Yast.

I would like to know if there is a step by step guide as this one here for Ubuntu.

I think a lot of very active people running openSuse so it should be not a big issue to install it on openSuse.

Thanks so much.

Hi,

If there is a step-by-step guide for Opensuse I am not aware of it.
However I have already installed telemac on Opensuse so it is doable.
The trick is that the package do not have the same name depending on the Linxu distribution.
I think that for opensuse the package is named openmpi3-dev.
You can have a look at the following page:

Hope it helps

Hi Yugi,

thank you so much. Yes you are right the packages are sometimes names a bit different, but they are usually good to find. I will follow the great Linux installation guide closely.
