Hi:

I'm a beginner of telemac, and now i'm study folwing the example given on the web. When I ran the model, there were something wrong with the liquid boundary files, so that I can't continue the simulation. And also, I'm not very understand that, in version 7.0, how to set the value about " PRESCRIBED FLOWRATES".

Please help me with the right options and prescribing about the liquid boundary, thanks!

Herewith i am attaching the files:

Hello

with PRESCRIBED FLOWRATES you will prescribe the discharge at boundary where necessairy. You have to give exactly n values, where n is the number of liquid boundaries in your model.
example :
PRESCRIBED FLOWRATES =0.;55;0.;0.
here you prescribe a discharge of 55 m3/s at the second liquid boundary.
Please refer to the user manual where all these features are well explained

with my best regards

Riadh ATA

Hi:

Thank you for your reply very much, but also I have some questions.
I have tried different methods but failed:
(1) only use the keyword PRESCRIBED FLOWRATES(or keywords PRESCRIBED FLOWRATES and PRESCRIBED ELEVATIOTS)
(2) only input the liquid boundary file
(3) use the keyword PRESCRIBED FLOWRATES(or keywords PRESCRIBED FLOWRATES and PRESCRIBED ELEVATIOTS), and input the liquid boundary file at the same time

There is one note in the user manual that " Up to version 7.0, it is necessary to have the corresponding keywords "PRESCRIBED..." to trigger the use of the liquid boundary file", is that mean I have to use the keyword PRESCRIBED FLOWRATES and the input the LIQUID BOUNDARIES FILE at the same time?

And when I input the liquid boundary file, the result shows that:
THE LIQUID BOUNDARIES FILE CONTAINS
6 LINES WITH:
Q<1> Q<2>
DEBIMP: PROBLEM ON BOUNDARY NUMBER 1
GIVE A VELOCITY PROFILE
IN THE BOUNDARY CONDITIONS FILE
OR CHECK THE WATER DEPTHS.
OTHER POSSIBLE CAUSE:
SUPERCRITICAL ENTRY WITH FREE DEPTH
IN THIS CASE GIVE A POSITIVE DEPTH
IN THE INITIAL CONDITIONS
OR PRESCRIBE THE DEPTH AT THE ENTRANCE.

So, is there something wrong with my steering file or my input file?

It was failed about the attachment yesterday, here I give it again:

Thanks very much for your help!
