Hi,

I want to use the TPXO database to prescribe the oceanic boundary conditions.

But my computational domain is The South China Sea which includes 2 different UTM Zones(Zone49 and Zone50).

Should I convert the LatLong data(topographic) to UTM with specifing the UTM zone number 49 and then draw a mesh, run it with the keyword ZONE NUMBER IN GEOGRAPHIC SYSTEM=49?

Thank you in advance!

Best regards

He Jiawei

Hi,

I think you should convert all your data with the same UTM zone number and specify the keyword with this number.

Hello,

I want to prescribe both water lever and velocity to oceanic boundaries.
I set that:
GEOGRAPHIC SYSTEM : 2
ZONE NUMBER IN GEOGRAPHIC SYSTEM = 49
TIDAL DATA BASE : 2
OPTION FOR TIDAL BOUNDARY CONDITIONS : 1
BINARY DATABASE 1 FOR TIDE : '../tpxo/h_tpxo7.2'
BINARY DATABASE 2 FOR TIDE : '../tpxo/u_tpxo7.2'

The types(LIHBOR,LIUBOR,LIVBOR) of boundary points should be 5 4 4? or 5 6 6?

Thank you in advance!

Best regards
