Hello,
Actually Mario Ricchiuto only wants to say that we use predictor-corrector distributive advection schemes that have been built in collaboration with him. There is no specific project to implement a new Boussinesq solver in Telemac. If you try the existing one you can also compare with Telemac-3D with 2 planes, which gives something like Boussinesq equations, at least the linearity of velocity along the vertical from bottom to top is the hypothesis of the Serre equations, which are an alternative to Boussinesq. My personal opinion on this topic is that Boussinesq-type equations are much more expensive than Saint-Venant. You need to choose high order forms if you want to deal precisely with non linear waves, and the cost may be higher than solving the real Navier-Stokes equations. In Telemac I estimate that for non linear waves our (basic) Boussinesq has the cost and is not better than Telemac-3D with about 7 planes.
With best regards,
