Hello everyone, I'm trying to make the study of a thermal plume with telemac2d because the effects that occur in the z axis are negligible for this case. This case was already made with the MIKE21, and what I'm trying is to carry out a comparison between the two programs, what happens is that with the telemac2d I note that the distribution of the thermal plume is not entirely uniform as that shown in the image MIKE21, my question is whether someone with experience in these cases could have a look at my cas file. in order to verify that the values I'm using are correct.

I attached the cas.

with the best regards.

Hello

To compare two results you need to proceed with a rigorious approach (such as the use of an euclidian error, for instance)
You can not compare these two results only visually especialy if the range of legend's colours are not the same fot both figure.
Moreover, to compare these results you need to faithfully verify that you are using the same nomerical options for both cases which is really a hard task. I'm not sure that Mike and Telemac use the same schemes, meshes, time steps, time schemes,....

with my best regards

Thank you for your answer Mr. Riadh, but could you tell me based on your experience if in my file cas. I should add more parameter or the parameter that I'm using are sufficient to carry out a correct simulation.

With the best regards

Jaime
