open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Hello,

Using Telemac v7 version, i simulated a case and compared the result with v6p3 version result (for the same case) and found lot of differences (i.e velocity vectors)!

1) I would like to know why is this happening?

2) In more precise, i need to know the differences between V6p3 and V7 versions?

3) Is there any additional subroutines included in V7? If so, what are the subroutines and where they are CALLed?

Note: The version v7 given in the last topic is exactly v7p1r1.

For the case study, I am provided TPXO forcing along the open ocean boundaries. To be specific, i observed lot of oscillations near the open ocean boundaries in v6p3 whereas in v7p1r1 there are negligible oscillations near the open ocean boundaries. Apparently i am also able to capture certain open ocean features as per the observations using v7p1r1.

This very normal that when changing version, res ults change also. However, the changes should be improvements not deteriorations.
Actually there are several bugs which were fixed, lots improvements added (including the tide) which explain the better behaving.
