open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Hi,
I want to compare the diferences of numerical results (selafin files) for diferent cases, and drawing contour maps for the rising of water level and the change of velocity magnitune, what should I do ? any sugestion is welcomd.

Hi,

you can compute the differences in BK. If you use different meshes, you have to map the results on one mesh first.

You could also use Fudaa-Prepro which allow you to compare 2 results (even the mesh are different) and or if you prefer working on a GIS environment, you could use the plugin Post Telemac which also allow the comparison of 2 results...

THANKS for the reply.
For me, I open the selafin results files in Tecplot and write down the results for specific variables and time step in the Ascii format of Tecplot for the same mesh and diferent B.C., then postprocess these results to get what I want for whole domain, I think this process is boring, so need some advices.

Hi,

as posted before, you can use BK to compute the differences for all time steps or defined time steps using the calculatr function. Or you can write a macro for Tecplot or write a python script.
